Join us as we review some legendary homosexual couples that split up that you may have forgotten were even together.
Sarah Paulson and Cherry Jones
Sarah Paulson is now dating fellow actress Holland Taylor. Sarah Paulson, on the other hand, dated actress Cherry Jones before becoming part of that power duo. Sarah Paulson appears to have a thing for older females, as you may have observed.
This gay couple dated from 2004 to 2009 and divorced amicably. Cherry Jones married filmmaker Sophie Huber in 2015. That same year, Sarah Paulson began seeing her current girlfriend, Holland Taylor. It may seem a little hasty to us, but the stars live very different lives.
Cara Delevingne and Michelle Rodriguez
Some celebrities appear on this list many times, including Cara Delevingne, an English supermodel and actress. The lovely celebrity has dated a slew of handsome co-stars. Michelle Rodriguez, an American actress who is bisexual, was one of them on our list.

Although they haven’t been apart for long, many people are unaware that Sara Gilbert and Linda Perry were in a long-term relationship. Following the conclusion of a long-term engagement, the actress and singer began dating 4 Non Blondes frontwoman Linda Perry in 2011.
Several years later, this couple had married and were expecting their first child, Rhodes Emilio Gilbert. Unfortunately, Sara Gilbert and Linda Perry filed for divorce four years later. We hope they can find a way to co-parent their son while being away from each other.

Ellen endured tremendous public attention when she came out as a lesbian in 1997. She began dating actress Anne Heche the same year.
Anne and Ellen were supposedly dating for three years before Anne left Ellen to date one of DeGeneres’ comedy tour cameramen. Anne Heche, like Lindsay Lohan, did not date any other woman. Obviously, we know how things when with Ellen in later years.
Melissa Etheridge and Tammy Lynn Michaels
Melissa Etheridge, a Grammy and Oscar winner, came out as a lesbian in 1993. She married and had children with filmmaker Julie Cypher not long after. After the relationship ended, the singer began dating actress Tammy Lynn Michaels.
Melissa and Tammy were married between 2002 and 2010. Johnnie Rose and Miller Steven are the couple’s twin sons. Despite having a commitment ceremony in 2003, this homosexual couple split up before marrying. Too bad they didn’t make it completely down the aisle.
Ruby Rose and Phoebe Dahl
Ruby Rose, an actress, came out as a lesbian when she was very young and now identifies as genderfluid. The actress announced her engagement to fashion designer Phoebe Dahl in 2014. Unfortunately, the couple called it quits after only a year.
Phoebe Dahl, an English designer, is the granddaughter of novelist Roald Dahl and American actress Patricia Neal. She has been in a relationship with DJ and model Tatiana de Leon since she split up with Ruby Rose.
B.D. Wong and Richie Jackson
B.D. Wong, a Tony Award winner, is now married to Richert John Frederickson Schnorr, but he previously dated talent agent Richie Jackson. From 1988 through 2004, this gay couple was in a long-term relationship. Despite their divorce, the couple continues to co-parent their son, Jackson Foo Wong.
B.D. Wong and Richie Jackson have both remarried since then. Richie Jackson is married to Broadway producer Jordan Roth, and the couple has a kid. Wong and Jackson’s son, Jackson, came out as homosexual when he was 15 years old.
Zachary Quinto and Miles McMillan
Zachary Quinto first appeared in public in 2011. In 2013, he began dating model Miles McMillan, and after a few years, the couple moved into their own Manhattan apartment – very stylish! Of course, the celebrities had a property in Upstate New York as well.
In 2019, the path to this romance came to an end. Miles McMillan has moved on with interior designer Trace Lehnhoff, but Quinto has yet to be seen with a new partner. We have no doubt that he will find someone.
Teddy Geiger and Emily Hampshire
Teddy Geiger, an American musician, came out as transgender in 2017. The celebrity was engaged to Canadian actress Emily Hampshire, but their LGBTQ relationship did not endure. Despite enjoying what appeared to be a very happy relationship on Instagram, these two called it quits just months after becoming engaged.
Emily Hampshire is open to dating anyone of any gender or orientation, but she hasn’t dated any other celebrities. Teddy Geiger, on the other hand, has yet to be seen out and about with anybody else. They may be concentrating on other things now.
Anderson Cooper and Benjamin Maisani
Anderson Cooper, a descendant of the Vanderbilt dynasty, came out as homosexual in 2012. As a result, he rose to prominence as the most well-known homosexual journalist on American television. It’s unknown when Anderson Cooper and French nightclub entrepreneur Benjamin Maisani began dating, but they split up in 2018.
Maisani expressed his desire to keep the connection quiet in 2014, stating that he never wanted to be a star. Maisani has stepped in to co-parent Cooper’s baby since he was born in 2020. We think he’ll be a fantastic parent and a great father.
Gus Kenworthy and Matt Wilkas
Guy Kenworthy, a British performer, and YouTuber, and American actor Matt Wilkas are our next unfortunate (but extremely attractive) homosexual pair. Kenworthy, a competitive skier, came out in an ESPN interview in 2015. Between 2015 and 2019, these two dated for three years.
Incidentally, when Wilkas kissed his then-boyfriend live during the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, it became a watershed event for LGBTQ sportsmen. Since their breakup, none of these attractive gentlemen has been linked to anybody else.
Tessa Thompson and Janelle Monáe
Some people may have heard of actress Tessa Thompson’s associations with filmmaker Taika Waititi, singer Rita Ora, and model Zac Stenmark after some intriguing photos surfaced online. Prior to it, there was much talk about the star’s connection with singer Janelle Monáe (as well as Lupita Nyong’o and Brie Larson).
Officially, these two never acknowledged being in a relationship, but they also didn’t conceal it. So, it’s hard to say either way. Thompson famously stated about Monáe, “We love each other sincerely. We’re so close that we’re vibrating at the same frequency.”
Adam Lambert and Javi Costa Polo
Throughout his career, singer Adam Lambert has been highly committed to LGBTQ activism. He was previously in a long-term relationship with Finnish TV personality Sauli Koskinen, and he briefly dated model Javi Costa Polo after that.
The lovely pair posted a lot of selfies on Instagram, but they only lasted a year until Costa Polo had to return to his home Spain. “I will always have him, and he will always have me,” he posted on Instagram. “Unfortunately, I am not a citizen of the United States.”
Ross Mathews and Salvador Camarena
Ross Mathews, a TV personality and reality TV regular, is presently engaged to Dr. Wellington Garcia. Prior to that, the openly homosexual singer was in a 10-year relationship with stylist Salvador Camarena. As you can see, they were a very cute couple during that time.
From 2008 through 2018, this LGBT couple was together. “As we move on, each of us feels as if he has a cheerleader in our corner — a family member for life,” Mathews said of the breakup. “We are content. Thank you for your kind words and affection.”
Sam Smith and Brandon Flynn
Sam Smith, a multi-award-winning English singer-songwriter, came out as homosexual in 2014. Later, in 2017, the “Stay With Me” singer came out as genderqueer, and subsequently as non-binary. That same year, when speaking with Ellen DeGeneres, the actor announced that he was dating openly homosexual actor Brandon Flynn.
This prominent homosexual couple was only together for nine months before splitting up in 2018. Sam Smith, like many of us, erased all of his photos with his ex after the breakup. Hopefully, they won’t be off the market for too long before getting back on the horse.
Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Zachary Quinto
We’ve already discussed actor Zachary Quinto’s dating history, but did you know he also dated actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson? That’s accurate, despite Ferguson now being blissfully married to lawyer Justin Mikita, it’s been said that he dated Quinto briefly.
Jesse Tyler Ferguson, for one, has refuted the rumors. “Zachary Quinto and I never dated, but the report makes us happy because we love each other — as friends,” he has remarked. Well, even if they didn’t date, they sure are super cute together.
Megan Rapinoe and Sera Cahoone
Megan Rapinoe, a US soccer player, came out as a lesbian in college. She then came out again in public, confirming her long-term connection with another soccer player. Following that, the professional athlete was in a relationship with singer-songwriter Sera Cahoone.
This pair was quite serious and announced their engagement in 2015. However, by 2017, the pair had announced that their wedding preparations had been put on hold. Rapinoe disclosed her connection with fellow athlete Sue Bird the same year.
Ashley Benson and Cara Delevingne
It’s time to catch up with model Cara Delevingne once more! We’ve seen the star with actress Michele Rodriguez thus far, but who else has she dated? From 2018 until 2020, the stunning actress was in a relationship with American actress Ashley Benson.
When asked about their relationship, Delevingne said, “It’s so lovely to have someone in my life who supports and loves me so much.”
Ashley Benson has been in a relationship with American rapper G-Eazy in the meantime, following their breakup.

Francesca Gregorini is the stepdaughter of Beatles drummer Ringo Starr and the daughter of actress Barbara Bach. This romance truly ended when de Rossi met Ellen DeGeneres backstage at an awards event for the first time. Of course, that was love at first sight.
Ellen DeGeneres and Alexandra Hedison
Simultaneously, comedian and actress Ellen DeGeneres was dating photographer Alexandra Hedison. The duo was together from 2000 to 2004, and their relationship ended when DeGeneres met her future bride. As we mentioned on the previous page, it was love at first sight when she saw Portia de Rossi.
As we all know, DeGeneres and de Rossi have been married for quite some time. Meanwhile, Alexandra Hedison began dating actress Jodie Foster in 2013, and the couple married after only a year. Everyone engaged in this lesbian love square seemed to have come out on top in the end.

Although her ex-wife Alana Mayo had solely dated males before their relationship, actress and playwright Lena Waithe is a lesbian. Miley Cyrus, a teen idol turned superstar, has had a wild dating life. Starting with Nick Jonas and then Liam Hemsworth, the musician has been spotted with a number of high-profile partners. Miley went to Italy with Kaitlynn Carter after her divorce from then-husband Chris Hemsworth.
Carter stated in an essay about the relationship, “This was a deep voyage of self-discovery.” For the first time, I paid attention to myself, let go of the ‘ordinary,’ and lived.” This romance lasted only a few months.
Zachary Quinto and Jonathan Groff
And now he’s back! This time, we’re looking back at Zachary Quinto’s connection with Broadway star Jonathan Groff. Between 2010 to 2013, these two were a couple, however, their romance fizzled out. It’s too bad since they seemed really happy together.

Our next homosexual celebrity couple did make it down the aisle, but their romance did not last. Brad Walsh is a singer and producer best known for his remixes of Britney Spears and Lady Gaga songs, among others. After dating Christian Siriano for almost ten years, he married him in 2016.
Unfortunately, the producer disclosed just two years later that he and his husband Siriano had decided to discontinue their relationship. Christian Siriano has been dating Kyle Smith since then. Well, we wish him the best with his new relationship and hope that Brad will find someone too.
Miley Cyrus and Stella Maxwell
Miley is back, this time to discuss her relationship with Belgian-born Northern Irish-New Zealand model Stella Maxwell. It’s a complicated ethnicity to remember, for sure. Stella had previously been spotted with actress Kristen Stewart, although she was previously with Miley Cyrus.
Miley Cyrus dated Victoria’s Secret Angel Stella Maxwell for a short time in 2015. The duo originally met through common acquaintance Cheyne Thomas and hit it off. Stella Maxwell has been associated with Lily-Rose Depp and Bella Hadid, and she identifies as queer and fluid.
Rosie O’Donnell and Kelli Carpenter
Rosie O’Donnell, an outspoken comedian, and TV personality came out publicly in 2002 during a charity comedy event. The actress has long been outspoken about her beliefs, particularly on LGBTQ adoption. She had her first kid when she was still unmarried.
Rosie O’Donnell later met marketing professional Kelli Carpenter. Carpenter and her husband married in 2004, and she also adopted her kid. This couple has four children together. In 2009, Rosie O’Donnell announced the dissolution of her marriage. She later remarried.
Ireland Baldwin and Angel Haze
Ireland Baldwin, the daughter of actresses Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin, has always been in the spotlight. In 2014, the model and actress dated rapper Angel Haze, who dedicated his song “Candlxs” to her then-girlfriend. Baldwin’s cousin introduced them at New York Fashion Week.
Angel Haze, a transgender artist from the United States, was born Raykeea Raeen-Roes Wilson. This relationship didn’t last long, and after calling it quits, Baldwin entered into a rehab facility for emotional abuse. We’re not sure what that means for the future, but we wish her all the best.
Ricky Martin and Carlos Gonzalez Abella
It’s difficult to imagine Puerto Rican superstar Ricky Martin with anybody else now that he’s charmingly married to Syrian-Swedish painter Jwan Yosef. The celebrity came out publicly in 2010, explaining that he previously believed he was bisexual. Identities frequently change, after all.
Ricky Martin dated economist Carlos Gonzalez Abella for several years before calling it quits in 2014. Martin met Yosef two years later, and they married the following year. They are now married and have four children, including Martin’s sons from prior relationships.
Kristen Stewart and Alicia Cargile
Kristen Stewart had an on-again, off-again romance with visual effects producer Alicia Cargile before dating model Stella Maxwell. Stewart was madly over heels at the moment, declaring, “Right now, I’m simply extremely in love with my girlfriend.” Aww, so cute.
This pair was together for two years, dating from 2014 to 2016. Kristen Stewart appeared to appreciate this relationship since it drew less attention than her previous high-profile relationships with co-star Robert Pattinson and married director Rupert Sanders.
Ruby Rose and Jessica Origliasso
So far, we’ve learned that Ruby Rose, an Australian actress, used to be engaged to fashion designer Phoebe Dahl. After that romance ended in 2015, the celebrity began dating fellow Australian Jessica Origliasso, one half of the musical duo The Veronicas.

The Veronicas singer is an outspoken supporter of same-gender marriage and dislikes being classified based on her sexual orientation. Jane Lynch and Lara Embry
For numerous years, award-winning comedy actress Jane Lynch was in a relationship with clinical psychologist Lara Embry. The pair met at a fundraiser and married the following year. Jane Lynch became Haden Embry’s stepmother after they married.
Unfortunately, the couple’s divorce was completed in 2014. According to reports, Lara Embry went away with a large sum of money. Jane Lynch simply stated, “California is a half-and-half state, as it should be, so that’s OK.” It must be nice to be so financially secure!
Colton Haynes and Jeff Leatham
Colton Haynes and Jeff Leatham divorced in May 2021 after a six-month marriage. There was a lot of talk that the pair had broken up because Leatham had been unfaithful. However, rumors can be vicious and we don’t want to point our fingers unnecessarily.
Haynes’ faith was strengthened as he published a song about adultery close to the separation. Appalled by the slander heaped on his ex’s reputation, Haynes took to Twitter to clarify the air, claiming Leatham could never cheat and that the song was about a previous relationship.
Luke Evans and Rafa Olarra
The year 2021 began with the tragic news that one of Hollywood’s most well-known LGBTQIA performers, Luke Evans, had split up with his boyfriend, Rafa Olarra. Olarra and Evans began dating in 2019 and made their relationship public in 2020.
They had a brief separation during the epidemic. Despite reuniting, the couple declared the end of their relationship in January 2021, much to the chagrin of supporters. Evans, on the other hand, astonished everyone by announcing his intention to become a single parent and establish a family.
Elliot Page and Emma Portner
Elliot Page and Emma Portner’s divorce startled the media and fans. Page and Portner met in 2017 and fell in love right away. It seemed like a match made in heaven. However, no one really knows what goes on in a relationship besides the people who are in it.
This is why they tied the knot only six months after meeting. Elliot came out as a trans guy in December 2020, causing quite a fuss for the LGBTQIA couple. Portner publicly backed him up and even came to his defense to shield him from transphobic remarks. Page, on the other hand, chose to sit down and file for divorce on January 2.
Lambda García and Luja Duhart
In 2020, Lambda Garca and Luja Duhart were everyone’s favorite LGBTQIA celebrity couple. Unfortunately, the pair called it quits a year after their romance blossomed. Even the cutest couples can have trouble in paradise, no matter how photogenic everyone involved is.
In February, the actor took to Instagram to announce that he and his singer now-ex boyfriend had chosen to split ways amicably. Despite his sadness about the breakup, Garca stated that his relationship with Duhart was the finest he had ever been in. Fans can only hope that the two achieve happiness on their own terms.
Dulceida and Alba Paul
A large number of LGBTQIA couples divorced in 2021, leading us to assume that this was not the year for love. Dulceida and Alba Paul called it quits on their dating after realizing it was not a suitable moment in their relationship.
In July 2021, a post was published dedicated to the announcement. Paul consented to a temporary breakup, claiming that she hoped the relationship would mend. Dulceida came out as bisexual on her YouTube channel in 2015. Following their 2016 wedding, the pair became LGBTQIA icons in Spain.
Ty Herndon and Matt Collum
Ty Herndon, a country artist, split up with long-term lover Matt Collum in 2021. On October 27, he announced the news through Instagram. Herndon’s emotional comment in the post emphasized his hope and prayer to be friends with Collum for a long time.
Prior to Herndon’s coming out as homosexual in November 2014, the couple had been together for five years. This announcement sparked a revolution in the world of country music, with more LGBTQIA singers following in his footsteps. We’d like everyone to feel free to be themselves.
Taryn Manning and Anne Cline
Taryn Manning, 42, and Anne Cline, 28, called it quits in late August of this year, only two months after they became engaged. Cline proposed to the Orange Is the New Black starlet in a small restaurant in Florida in June.
The couple first appeared together in March. Their whirlwind romance was clearly not working for Manning, as a close insider informed the press that after the engagement, she realized the relationship wasn’t the right one for her. Better luck next time!
Joe Exotic and Dillon Passage
On March 26, the adored pair from Tiger Kings announced their divorce after only three years of marriage. Perhaps there were some revelations about Exotic’s behavior that made Passage a little wary. It may have also been affected by the legal proceedings.
Passage published a message on Instagram in which he revealed a number of heartbreaking admissions. He said that the couple had been apart for around two and a half years of their marriage, which had lasted no more than three years. The former couple announced their split while expressing their mutual love and respect for one another.
Carrie Brownstein and St. Vincent
When it comes to ladies, St. Vincent has a keen eye. Her list of girlfriends is extensive. Carrie Brownstein of Excuse 17 is one such notable reference. In 2017, St. Vincent worked with the bisexual Portlandia actor, singer, and comedian.
Carrie was rumored to be dating Broad City’s Abbi and Orange Is the New Black’s Taylor Schilling, but none of the other flings were significant enough to be verified. Brownstein is now working on a Hulu series and writing new songs for Sleater-Kinney.

DeLaria revealed on her Instagram account that the two had divorced peacefully and will always be in one other’s lives. After four years together, the two had formed a deep relationship that allowed them to laugh about their breakup. Tatiana Waterford, a stylist, is presently dating Fairless.
