Perfecting the application of your eyeshadow is an art form. Therefore, using a color that complements the hue of your eyes is imperative if you want your peepers to pop and sparkle.

Let’s delve into this topic a little deeper.

Ocean Blue Eyes

Piercing blue eyes are stunning. They already attract a lot of attention, so you don’t need bold colored shadows to highlight them. Instead, try and stick to warmer hues like bronze, gray, copper, brown, and gold. If you’re after a quick fix that makes your eyes stand out, gradually layer your lids with one of these tones. You really can’t go wrong with this method!

If you’re lucky enough to have beautiful blue eyes, select your lipstick carefully. On the whole, less is usually more where lippy’s concerned (if you want your eyes to do the talking!). Opt for a lipstick that boasts either peach or pinky hues, this usually does the trick.

Brown Eyes

Usually, a smokey eye works well if you don deep, brown eyes. Your best bet is to go with shadows that highlight subtle shades of blue, green, or gold.

Golden eyeshadows are terrific for helping open up your eyelids. When done right, your eyes will look bigger and bolder than ever before. Sweep two to three coats of high-quality mascara across your lashes to complete the look.

Emerald Green Eyes

Green eyes are gorgeous! So do everything you can to highlight them. Purple shades work wonders for a dramatic look.

However, if you’re want something more reserved for the office, you can’t go wrong with neutral colors. Taupe is always a surefire bet for women with striking green eyes. Or, if you’re feeling creative, try sweeping a touch of purple across the lash line to enhance the neutral tones.
