As the seventh season of TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé comes to a close, some of us need to take a break from the nearly one hour of drama each episode offers us. But others — like you dear Living 101 reader — need more! Let’s take a look back at some of the most insane 90 Day Fiancé moments:

Anna Campisi and Mursel Mistanoglu of season 7 don’t speak the same language but are somehow married. During the recent “tell all” episode in which the couples get together and spill the beans on-air, their literal communication problems were made apparent.

Campisi asks Mistangoglu to speak English when questioned about his ability: “Say some sentences.” TV Insider writes that she seems embarrassed but “it’s weird and kind of motherly. ‘It’s not as bad as it looks,’ she concludes.”

Then, there’s that time when Larissa Dos Santos Lima (season 6) of Brazil went to jail just days before her wedding to Colt Johnson of Las Vegas. She was only held for a day, but was later arrested again for battery and flushed her wedding ring down the toilet.

“I was not happy,” she tells her shocked mother-in-law.

To no one’s surprise, the pair finalized their divorce April 2019.

Lastly, Avery Mills of season three of spin-off show Before The 90 Days telling her mom that she’s moving to Syria was shocking to say the least. (A daughter moving to a war-torn country is not something most mothers would want to hear.) She planned to go to Syria to be with her Syrian husband, Omar Albakkaur, while they waited for his U.S. visa to be approved.

Mills didn’t end up going to Syria but instead lived apart from her husband for awhile. (It’s unclear where the pair lives now.) It does seem like Albakkaur and Avery are happy from what I gather from Avery’s Instagram account. The pair also own an e-commerce store called Albakour Kouture together so that’s promising.

As far as some of the other 90 Day Fiancé couples go, I can’t say those relationships are promising but rather rife with drama …
